The Opportunity
Veolia has a newly created opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic to work with our Seven Hills based team.
What's on offer
A service vehicle with fuel card and etag.
Utilise your mechanical skills on a variety of heavy vehicle and plant machinery
Monday-Friday, 10AM-6PM roster.
What you'll be responsible for
Undertake preventative and breakdown maintenance on Veolia’s fleet of trucks and mobile plant equipment.
Responding to onsite breakdowns, identifying faults and complete repairs.
Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance on trucks and mobile plant equipment.
Daily pre and post start checks
Maintain stock and spare parts records, advising on discrepancies.
Coordinating works between Operations, Fleet Administration and external service providers.
Drive Veolia’s ‘Always Safe’ Culture.
What you'll need to be successful
Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle and/or Plant Mechanic.
Demonstrated experience in the heavy vehicle repair industry.
HR truck licence
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to undergo a pre-employment medical and national police check.
