We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Hebrew Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Hebrew language instruction to students of various ages and proficiency levels. Responsibilities
Design, implement and differentiate engaging lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
Assess student performance using a variety of educational instruments
Prepare periodic reports pertaining to student progress and instruction
Maintain high-expectations for student learning
Communicate students' needs to all stakeholders
Manage classroom procedures through consistent, well-articulated expectations
Promote a positive school environment that enhances student learning
Maintain a positive and collaborative climate across departments and grade levels
Build strong relationships with all stakeholders
Proactively participate in school community programs and events
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
Demonstrates professionalism in all job-related situations including interactions with students, parents, colleagues and community members
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication abilities Exhibits a growth mindset
Seeks to improve through self-reflection, constructive feedback and/or professional development activities
Comprehension of written Biblical Hebrew a plus
Familiarity with Microsoft Office as well as other relevant educational platforms
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse student populations
Passion for teaching languages and promoting cultural understanding
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs and learning styles
Education and Other Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
Certification/License: Valid Teaching Certificate, degree, or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of three years as a lead teacher in a school environment
Hebrew fluency (written and verbal) required for Hebrew teaching positions.
Physical Requirements: The employee must be able to:
Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency
Bend, crouch, walk through the school, and move from standing to sitting on the floor and back.
Use hands and fingers to reach, grab, write, handle, feel & control objects
See, talk, and hear
Occasionally lift and/or carry objects 30 lbs.
Lightly clean and maintain equipment in the classroom
Work in a busy and occasionally noisy environment
About the Role:
FLSA: Exempt, Salaried, Full-time
Work Days: 190
Reports To: Director of Hebrew & Judaic Studies and/or Division Principal
Annual Salary: (commensurate with experience)
