HGV Class 2 Driver Wanted.
We are currently seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for a full-time, temp-to-perm position with our client near Newton Abbot. If you're looking for a stable and rewarding driving job with the opportunity for career growth, this could be the perfect role for you!
Salary & Benefits
• Basic Salary: £27,200 per annum.
• Bonus: Annual profit-based bonus.
• Overtime: Paid at time and a half for hours worked beyond 40 per week.
• Bank Holiday Pay: Double time, plus a day in lieu for one bank holiday per year.
• Holidays: 5 weeks of holiday plus bank holidays.
• Additional Benefits: Depot closure during Christmas and New Year, career growth opportunities, and an allocated vehicle within the fleet.
About The Role
In this position, you'll be doing multi-drop deliveries on established routes each week. Your delivery area will typically span up to 125 miles from the Heathfield depot, offering a stable route structure and the opportunity to take ownership of maintaining your assigned vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate an 18-ton curtain sider for multi-drop palletised deliveries.
• Maintain your allocated vehicle's cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
• Complete deliveries within a 125-mile radius from the Heathfield depot.
• Complete all delivery paperwork and report any issues promptly.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at each delivery point.
• Comply with all company procedures and health and safety regulations.
Working Hours
• Schedule: Tuesday to Friday.
• Additional Hours: 12 Mondays per year on a rotation, included in the basic salary.
• Overtime: Occasionally available, paid at time and a half for hours over 40 per week.
• Bank Holiday: One per year, paid at double time, plus a day in lieu.
Requirements
• A full and valid Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence, with no DR, DD, or IN convictions.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle.
• Reliable transportation for commuting to and from work.
• A working mobile phone.
