Role
Are you a HGV Class 1 Day Driver looking for ongoing work? Want to work with one of the UK's leading supply chain logistics providers? As this is within the automotive sector, long term opportunities are available. Day shifts are available Monday - Friday and weekends.This role will involve:
• Local delivery and collection of Automotive parts
• Local sequence deliveries from manufacturing facility into plant
• Some distance deliveries to and from other suppliers / manufacturers
• Typical start times between 05:00 - 07:00 on days
• 8-10 hour shifts (Minimum + paid / Inc 1 hour Overtime)
• No Handball
• Weekend work available at inflated pay rates
• Sites based in Solihull & North Birmingham
Successful HGV Class 1 Drivers will:
• Have at least 6 months C+E experience
• Have no more than 6 points for minor offenses (No DDs, DRs or CDs)
• Hold valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
HGV Class 1 Drivers PAYE rates of pay:
• Monday to Friday days £14.24 per hour (Hours 06:00-18:00)
• Overtime after 8 hours per shift between £21.36 - £24.+2 per hour
• Guaranteed + hours per shift (1 hours overtime daily)
Mandatory assessments are involved which will include:
• Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required)
• Full site and safe systems of work induction
• Vehicle familiarisation
• Practical driving assessment
