HGV driver(s) required to join our super team of experienced drivers due to an increase in workload. Based at our head office operation in Oban, the work is varied, interesting and involves driving a variety of vehicles including concrete mixers, tippers and skip lorries making deliveries to customers in the local area.
Experienced HGV driver(s), class C, required due to increase in business to assist our busy head office haulage operation in the Oban area. Our company is involved in a diverse range of activities across Argyll, Lochaber, and Mull including ready-mix concrete delivery, quarrying and haulage of crushed rock products, general haulage, portable toilet hire, welfare unit services and supply of cylinder gases and fuel products. Excellent pay rates, regular day time working hours, flexible or part time working considered, varied and interesting work alongside our valued team of long standing skilled drivers, training provided as required.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a minimum of a class 2 (category C) licence without endorsements, up to date CPC hours and a digital tachograph card.
Applicants looking for part-time or flexible work also considered.
Forklift experience advantageous as would familiarity with other load handling equipment though training can be provided. Prior experience of concrete, skip or quarrying operations is desirable but is not essential.
The position involves some basic administration such as utilising a proof of delivery device or completing delivery paperwork but training is provided.
A good knowledge of the local area would be advantageous.
