We are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team in Northampton. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of 44,000 per annum, with 40 hours of work per week.
As an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they are kept in excellent condition and meet all safety standards. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your skills with comprehensive training provided in Class 1, LOLER, Tacho, and IRTEC certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and legal standards.
Prepare vehicles for MOTs and conduct thorough inspections.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Requirements
Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic is preferred.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to undertake further training and certification.
A Class 1 driving license is desirable but not essential.
