Senior Backend Engineer
We are looking for a seasoned Backend Developer to join our team and lead the development of scalable, high-performance applications. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Python and microservices who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about writing clean, maintainable code.
As a key member of our backend engineering team, you will work closely with founders, engineering leaders, product managers, and operations teams to build core systems that directly impact our customers and scale with our growth.
Responsibilities:
• Architect and build robust, scalable backend systems using Python (Flask, FastAPI)
• Drive engineering best practices—code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, and design patterns
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Manage the full software development lifecycle: planning, development, testing, release, and monitoring
• Solve complex technical problems through efficient, reliable algorithms and architectural design
• Lead backend project execution with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security
• Guide Agile processes: sprints, retrospectives, stand-ups, and planning meetings
• Maintain and evolve existing applications and codebases with comprehensive documentation
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth
Requirements:
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with Python
• Strong expertise with Python web frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
• Experience working with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB Atlas using PyMongo
• Proficiency across the software development lifecycle, from code quality to operations
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate business challenges into engineering solutions
• Exposure to microservices architecture and scalable backend system design
