Job Summary:
We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team on a freelance basis. This role involves transforming raw footage into engaging and impactful visual content that resonates with our audience. If you have a passion for storytelling through visuals, a knack for innovation, and the skills to produce high-quality videos, we’d love to work with you!
Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing & Post-Production:
- Edit raw footage into polished videos for marketing campaigns, social media, and events.
- Incorporate motion graphics, transitions, and effects to enhance the quality of the content.
- Adjust video elements, including color grading, audio syncing, and noise reduction, to ensure a professional finish.
Creative Storytelling:
- Collaborate with the content team to create videos that align with our brand's narrative and vision.
- Develop storyboards and visual concepts to guide video production.
- Ensure all video content reflects Hack2Skill's mission and community-centric approach.
Innovative Content Creation:
- Stay updated with the latest trends in video editing and implement fresh, creative ideas.
- Experiment with different editing techniques to produce unique and engaging content.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the design, marketing, and social media teams to ensure video content supports ongoing campaigns.
- Understand project briefs and provide input to enhance the creative process.
Quality Control:
- Review and refine videos to ensure they meet brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Deliver projects within deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
- Strong understanding of storytelling, visual aesthetics, and pacing.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in editing tech-related content or promotional videos.
- Familiarity with trending editing styles and formats for social media platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Basic knowledge of sound design and audio editing.
