Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Stockport
Location: Stockport & surrounding Greater Manchester areas
Setting: Primary & Secondary Schools
Start Date: September 2025
Position Type: Full-time / Part-time, Temporary & Long-term Opportunities
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience and placement (£100–£120 per day)
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding new role this September? We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic HLTAs to support a range of fantastic primary and secondary schools across Stockport and nearby areas.
Whether you're seeking daily supply work, long-term placements, or something more flexible, we have opportunities to suit your schedule and expertise.
Responsibilities may include:
- Leading small group interventions and 1:1 support
- Covering classes in the absence of a teacher
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons
- Supporting students with SEND, behavioural needs, or EAL
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Collaborating with teaching staff and school leaders
Desirable:
- Experience across both key stages and/or SEN settings
- Team Teach, Makaton, or other CPD certifications
