As a seasoned Search Expert, you will design and implement scalable search architectures using Solr and Elasticsearch.
• Write complex search queries for large-scale systems, leveraging expertise in query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into accurate and performant queries.
You have
Required Skills:
• Proven experience with Apache Solr and/or Elasticsearch in production environments.
• Strong understanding of indexing principles and relevance scoring mechanisms (BM25, TF-IDF).
• Proficiency with Apache Spark for custom indexing workflows and large-scale data processing.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Designing and implementing robust search solutions using Solr and Elasticsearch.
• Writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex search queries using Solr Query Parser and Elasticsearch DSL.
• Working with business stakeholders to understand search requirements.
• Building and managing custom analyzers, tokenizers, filters, and index mappings/schemas tailored to domain-specific search needs.
• Developing and optimizing indexing pipelines using Apache Spark.
• Performing query tuning and search relevance optimization based on precision, recall, and user engagement metrics.
• Creating and maintaining query templates and search APIs for integration with enterprise applications.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving search performance and infrastructure reliability.
