Senior Design Engineer Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• To design, modify, and generate surface models, concept generation, drawing, and 3D parametric modeling for exterior parts such as front and rear bumpers, moldings, wheel arch liners, and glazing.
• Responsible for complete project deliverables, requiring multitasking and innovative thinking for concept design work.
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are essential.
• General product design guidelines for sheet metal parts, injection-molded, blow-molded plastic parts, composite, and RIM (Reaction Injection molding) parts.
• Good knowledge of sheet metal parts, injection-molded, blow-molded plastic parts, composite materials, and RIM parts material and processes.
• Plastic parts, composite parts design, and tooling knowledge are essential.
• Composite parts manufacturing process knowledge, including SMC, FRP, etc.
• Lightweight plastic material processing, such as Metton and carbon fibers.
• Part feasibility study for tooling, draft analysis.
• Plastic tooling expertise, including tooling direction, draft angle, parting line, and injection mold part details.
• Exposure to manufacturing will be advantageous.
• Conversant with gap and flushness requirements, DFMEA, DRD, and regulations.
• Innovative ideas, VA/VE, cost reduction suggestions are expected.
• Aware of new trends, technology, and implementation for automotive parts.
• Ability to handle, mentor, and guide team members.
• Experience in large assembly management and top-down design.
• Packaging/integration of body parts with surrounding parts.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and intrapersonal skills.
• Flexible to work at client sites and ready to work in any shift, including US shifts.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product design engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs within tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with CAD software and other relevant tools.
