Job Description
The post holder will gain / consolidate experience assessing adults and developing treatment programs for a broad range of neurological conditions in the community, within the realms of rehabilitation and disability management.
The post holder will also further develop leadership skills and will supervise band 6 Physiotherapists and influence the operational direction of Physiotherapy within THCNT.
As one of the clinical leaders for the team, the post holder will work in collaboration with the other band 7s’ (Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist and Clinical Psychologist) to support the AHP Lead in delivering an efficient and effective service underpinned by quality assurance, evidence-based practice and patient experience feedback.
We seek candidates who are dynamic and proactive and able to flex the service to respond to the current priorities.
The service supports in-service training along with a robust personal development review programme to support staff with their learning and development. AHPs can participate in joint clinical sessions with their peers and the Allied Health Professional Lead.
To provide highly specialist assessment, treatment and clinical management of clients with neurological conditions, determining clinical diagnosis, functional deficits and development of the Physiotherapy treatment program required.
To be dynamic in developing efficient and effective Physiotherapy working practices to assist in producing a fully effective multidisciplinary team approach.
To work with the Allied Health Professional Lead to develop the service to best meet changing health and social care agendas.
To be responsible for the clinical development and operational management of a team of Physiotherapists within the Tower Hamlets Community Neuro Team (THCNT).
To work with multidisciplinary colleagues to deputise to the Allied Health Professional Lead as required.
To work in collaboration with the acute Neurological Physiotherapy service and Community Health Services to provide integrated care for clients with a Neurological diagnosis within Tower Hamlets.
