Job Title: Highway Design Engineer (8+ Years Experience)
Location: Kothrud, Pune, Maharashtra
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Highway Design Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in designing highways and roads, adhering to NHAI and State Highway (SH) standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with geometric design, pavement design, and General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) and be proficient in delivering projects that meet the safety, regulatory, and environmental standards outlined by NHAI and State Highway Authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Geometric Design: Lead road alignment, cross-section, and intersection design, ensuring compliance with NHAI and SH standards (e.g., IRC guidelines).
• Pavement Design: Design flexible, rigid, or composite pavements based on traffic load, climate, and soil properties, using NHAI specifications.
• GADs: Produce detailed General Arrangement Drawings for highways, interchanges, bridges, and drainage, adhering to NHAI and SH design norms.
• Project Management: Oversee project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, coordinating with clients, contractors, and authorities.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that designs meet NHAI/SH guidelines for safety, environmental concerns, and traffic flow.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 8 years in highway design, with expertise in NHAI and SH standards, geometric and pavement design, and GAD preparation.
• Software: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and pavement design tools.
• Certifications: Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent preferred.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of NHAI and SH design standards (IRC, MoRTH).
• Expertise in geometric design, pavement design, and GADs.
• Proven experience in project management and leading design teams.
