Position: Senior Content Developer / Content Writer
Location: Kattupakkam, Chennai, TN
Type: Full-time / Contract
Reports to: Strategic Lead / Brand Director
Job Role Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned content professional who blends strategic thinking with creative excellence. As a Senior Content Developer, you’ll lead the creation of high-impact, culturally resonant content across digital, print, and experiential platforms. Your work will shape brand narratives, drive engagement, and ensure compliance across QSR, FMCG, and HORECA verticals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Content Leadership
Develop and execute content strategies aligned with brand, sales, and compliance goals
Translate executive vision into compelling narratives for trade shows, packaging, and digital platforms
Lead editorial planning, content calendars, and cross-functional content rollouts
Define and uphold brand voice across all formats and channels
Content Creation & Optimization
Write and refine content for websites, flyers, product labels, QSR menus, SOPs, and agreements
Create multilingual content (English + Tamil) for diverse audiences
Optimize content for SEO, readability, and conversion
Ensure all content meets FSSAI, EU, and US regulatory standards
Mentorship & Collaboration
Guide junior writers and freelancers with structured feedback and editorial reviews
Collaborate with design, legal, and marketing teams for cohesive execution
Contribute to training materials, onboarding guides, and internal documentation
Performance & Innovation
Analyze content performance metrics and refine strategy based on insights
Stay updated on industry trends, compliance updates, and cultural storytelling techniques
Propose new formats (video scripts, infographics, interactive microsites) to elevate brand engagement
Required Skills
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong grasp of brand tone, storytelling, and audience segmentation
Experience with SEO, CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow), and analytics tools
Ability to interpret legal and compliance guidelines into consumer-friendly language
Comfortable working iteratively and responding to structured feedback
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
5+ years of experience in content development or writing, preferably in FMCG/QSR sectors
