Full Job Description
We are looking for the fellow to be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of SHG Federation and at the same time build women’s capacities under the WEN model. In addition to being involved in networking, marketing and community mobilising; the fellows will have to demonstrate creativity in developing innovative case studies and exploring untapped opportunities to maximize the reach of our ideologies. We are looking for a highly self-motivated, proactive fellow whose responsibilities would include:
Developing and implementing plans
Undertaking research and analyses
Establishing goals and objectives in order to reach more women in field locations
Performing duties of managing the federation including staff management
The fellow would be required to coordinate with various teams within the organization, as well as multiple SHGs and federations. Therefore s/he should have good coordination skills to work with multiple temperaments and levels. Maheshwar and other field locations are small towns and the fellow would have to work with people with different capabilities and talents. The fellow needs to be sensitive to rural ethos and values of the organization. S/he will need to be the leader, without any followers at least for the first three to six months – hence high level of motivation is required. Should be able to work in unstructured environment.
The fellow will learn the following:
- Basics of community based micro finance and promoting livelihoods especially amongst the women members
- Financial literacy and its impact on financial access and livelihood improvement
- Perspective on gender and empowerment
- Maximum utilization of limited resources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Highly organized and detail oriented
Creativity and imagination
Be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Data and technology friendly
