Job Summary:
The Manifold Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the ’s medical gas manifold system. This includes ensuring the
continuous and safe supply of medical gases such as oxygen, nitrous oxide, and compressed air to various departments, in compliance with healthcare safety
standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor the medical gas manifold system and associated equipment.
Ensure uninterrupted supply of medical gases to all critical areas including ICUs, OTs, and wards.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of gas cylinders, pipelines, and valves.
Replace empty cylinders and ensure proper storage and handling of gas containers.
Maintain accurate records of gas usage, cylinder inventory, and pressure readings.
Respond promptly to alarms, leaks, or supply issues and escalate as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with vendors for gas refills and equipment servicing.
Qualifications & Experience:
ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant technical field.
2–3 years of experience in medical gas manifold operations, preferably in a setting.
Certification in medical gas pipeline systems (MGPS) is preferred.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of medical gas systems and safety procedures
Attention to detail and ability to monitor pressure and flow parameters
Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills
Awareness of healthcare safety and infection control standards
Good communication and record-keeping skills
