General Description
A Joyya Language Teacher will teach local students in Bengali Literacy and English Language and teach Bengali Language to foreign students. The teacher must follow the Joyya curriculum and lesson plans and fulfil the assessment requirements.
Students have a wide variety of abilities, so the teacher needs to be able to teach to all types of needs. Students ages range from children to adults and teachers are required to assess, plan and teach lessons to students according to their needs.
Teachers are to build a good relationship with the students; it will need to be professional and maintain high standards from students, yet also be kind and nurturing towards them.
Teachers will need to manage student’s behaviour, record absences and lesson reflections, and maintain the classroom environment to enable the best outcome for students.
Teachers will be required to use a range of activities in a lesson and to create a lesson that is engaging for students. Teachers will ensure there is an element of reading, writing and oral language in their lessons.
Each course generally runs for three months, with a two week break in between courses. Classes run anytime between 10am to 6pm. This is a part time role, with the amount of hours changing every three months, depending on how many students enrol for the course. Teachers must be willing to travel in between the two locations listed above.
Responsibilities
· Assess students and group them according to their needs and abilities.
· Plan lessons for every class following the Joyya Curriculum.
· Getting students to progress and succeed at an appropriate speed.
· Setting and checking homework
· Make resources to use in lessons.
· Manage classroom environment.
· Manage student behaviour.
· Record student attendance.
· Keep in contact with students regarding class timings, schedules, holidays etc
Personal Qualities and Skills required
· Relational skills
· Fluent in Bengali and English
· Confident in using a computer, in particular Microsoft word.
· Organised
· Creative
· Behaviour management skills
· Willing and able to learn and implement new teaching techniques in the classroom.
Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
