Responsibilities:
• Receive tissue specimens and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Perform tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning to prepare slides for microscopic examination.
• Stain and mount tissue slides using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Operate laboratory instruments such as microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines.
• Assist pathologists during autopsies and provide accurate documentation of findings.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the histopathology laboratory.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field from a recognized institution.
• Prior experience in histopathology or pathology laboratory is preferred.
• Knowledge of histological techniques, tissue processing, and staining procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
