Introduction:
Prime Services IT is seeking a dynamic Java and database Developer with experience delivering innovative solutions in close collaboration with the Business.
Reporting to the technical development manager, the candidate will play a crucial role in the execution of the strategy, identifying opportunities to realize the strategic architecture within the constraints of regulatory milestones. The individual will be required to work closely with colleagues across Operation Technology Services (Trade Processing, Operation Data Store and Data Distribution) to ensure the technical solution leverages common components, standard proven patterns and engineering principles.
This is a great opportunity to help drive forward the strategy of a major expanding area within this global Bank on a strategic program.
What will you be doing?
• To be able to communicate with key external stakeholders (e.g. exchanges, regulators) in a professional and constructive manner.
• Delivering business driven growth projects as well as working on regulatory initiatives.
• On-going development and maintenance of the existing platform.
• Development of an understanding of the business and contributing to the enhancement of the platform.
• Ability to interpret user requirements and convert them into deployable production code with a high degree of independence.
• Interact with the QA team to ensure adequate tests are in place for deliverables under development.
• Perform code reviews to ensure implemented functionality matches expectations and is in line with coding standards defined globally.
• Develop solutions both tactical and strategic problems to meet business requirements
• Understand requirements and help the team to deliver high quality solutions
• Provide estimates for tasks, including design, development, technical debt, and testing
• Produce code that is appropriate for a low-latency java platform
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
• Develop automated testing tools to exercise functionality, performance, and capacity of code
• Propose solutions to complex problems that are in keeping with the existing system architecture
• Quickly deliver tactical fixes and simple changes where required
• Delivering exchange mandatory upgrades
• Designing and building new features
• Investigation and resolution Production issues
• Performance tuning and enhancements
• Continuous focus on the performance of the application ??EUR?" understanding the impact of changes at a low-level is essential.
• Able to execute the assigned project within schedule and budget with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to the definition of development standards and process improvements.
• Work with Onshore team members and business users to get the business requirements, analyse them and prepare the technical specifications.
• Develop and test the software in desired technologies to Implement the business requirements.
• Participate in project go live and post go live support activities.
• Review code written by other team members.
• Wherever required design/create database objects and write database stored procedures.
Development (70%) ??EUR?" hands-on coding of key application patterns and components as part of functional and non-functional requirements. With the sound technical background solid understanding of Prime Services ??EUR?" Custody and securities lending domain. L3 support (30%) - Support monitoring and troubleshooting of both production and non- production environments; address any Business user queries promptly; minimize impact to business in case of production issues.
What we??EUR?(TM)re looking for:
• Expert with 5 ??EUR?" 8 yrs of experience in Core Java (8 or above), Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate, JPA and JQL.
• Good knowledge of Micro Services architecture. Experience of developing SpringBoot/REST based micro services.
• Minimum basic knowledge of Angular web frameworks (Angular 1 / Angular 5+) with good skills on JavaScript ,HTML,TypeScript.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Data, JPA etc.
• Ability to write Unit test cases and working experience of TDD frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Groovy etc
• Exposure to SQL and relation databases with 2+ yrs of experience. Knowledge Microsoft SQL is a plus. Must be able to write complex SQL, Performance optimization of SQL, views, Stored procedures etc.
• Knowledge of Messaging such as JMS (TIBCO EMS / IBM MQ)
• Worked in Agile environment, working knowledge of GIT/Stash repository, Dev-ops and CICD tools like Teamcity/Jenkins
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in Banking/Financial domains
• Experience in using Linux/Unix platform for software deployment
• Experience of agile delivery in a data centric, regulatory environment
• knowledge on DB migration framework such as Liquibase
• knowledge on GUI testing framework such as Jasmine/Karma
• good analytical and problem solving skills
