Full job description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Meet with potential borrowers to understand their financial goals and homeownership aspirations.
Maintain knowledge of various mortgage products. Educate clients about the features, benefits and terms related to the mortgage options.
Assists clients with the mortgage application process and collection of necessary documentation.
Analyze client credit reports, financial statements and debt-to-income ratios to determine mortgage pre-qualification.
Maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term business growth and referrals. Network with real estate agents, builders and other industry professionals to generate leads.
Provide positive customer experiences by addressing all questions and concerns related to the mortgage application and approval process.
Maintains knowledge of all lending regulations to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
Strong technical experience with origination systems.
Strong knowledge of mortgage programs and products.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to assess clients' financial situations through financial analysis.
Knowledge of lending regulations.
Required Experience:
High School diploma or GED and minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience.
Valid Driver's License, Mortgage Loan Originator license approved by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Preferred Experience:
Bachelors degree in finance, business administration or a related field.
