Join us in this crucial role a s a Home Change Developer within, Pricing & Underwriting for Home & Growth . You will be working alongside a team of developers who are responsible for the delivery of all Home Pricing & UW Radar changes.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a valued member of the team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of the Home Insurance strategy through accurately and efficiently implementing changes to the Radar rating algorithm.

Key Responsibilities
• Take ownership for building, maintaining , and monitoring the Radar Live rating engine so that it is compliant, accurate and efficient
• Ensure comprehensive model testing is run/ validated to prove out all change
• Support in the enhance ment of processes , including testing to create efficiency whilst maintaining accuracy
• Excellent spoken and written skills so to support e ngage ment with various stakeholders and the wider Pricing & Underwriting community , to ensure alignment with approaches
• Contributing to overall Department/DLG wide objectives , strategies and priorities.
• Be aware of Pricing and Underwriting Controls and G overnance and abid e by the controls in place
• Identify and manage risks associated with the role, adhering to the company risk framework. Communicate any price, model, or data issues promptly .
• Developing your own skills and knowledge such that you have the expertise required to achieve current and future business requirements.
• Reinforce the culture and core values of Direct Line Group through appropriate behaviours and Actions
• Support the Home Change Team’s Defect Management process. Aiding with diagnosis , deriving, testing and implementing any required fixes.

What You’ll Need
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in M athematics /Computer Science or a related degree or similar numerical subject
• Familiarity with programming languages and software such as SQL, SAS Python, Tableau ( preferred )
• Experience in the Insurance industry ( preferred )
• Strong problem-solving skills & a keen eye for attention to detail
• Excellent communication and a team player
• Good knowledge of IT principles and processes
• Creativity , Passionate, Inquisitive ness nature & Innovative
• Analytical mindset
