Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities related to brought-out parts, CNC/VMC tools, machining jobs, fabrication, machine spares, AMC contracts, logistics, and department-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, vendor management skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Supplier Management
Source and procure brought-out parts, machining labor parts, CNC/VMC inserts, cutting tools, and small fabrication items.
Manage purchasing of machine spares, civil works, maintenance, and HRD-related materials.
Identify and develop reliable vendor base locally and internationally.
Conduct supplier visits for quality assessment and relationship building.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
2. Machine Spares & AMC Procurement
Handle procurement of critical and consumable machine spares.
Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for machines and utilities.
Coordinate with service engineers and internal maintenance teams.
Ensure availability of spares to reduce downtime.
3. Logistics & Import Shipment Management
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
Track import orders, arrange customs clearance, and documentation.
Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics partners.
4. Urgency Handling & Internal Coordination
Address urgent procurement needs from production, maintenance, and other departments.
Plan procurement activities in alignment with production schedules.
Ensure timely material availability for uninterrupted operations.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare POs, vendor agreements, procurement MIS reports, and GRNs.
Maintain procurement records, delivery schedules, and payment follow-up.
Monitor supplier performance and delivery timelines.
6. Administrative & HRD-Related Procurement
Manage purchases for office supplies, civil works, admin needs, and HR-related activities.
Coordinate approvals with internal departments such as HR, Admin, and Finance.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
Experience:
5 years in industrial purchasing, with exposure to:
CNC/VMC tools and machining
Brought-out parts and spares
Import and logistics coordination
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of:
Procurement processes
ERP software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Logistics & customs documentation
Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor communication
Problem-solving and urgency-handling abilities
Multitasking and cross-functional coordination
Pay: ₹40,761.90 - ₹65,171.80 per month
