Job Description
RAEL Fire Protection, the premier fire protection provider in the NY Tri-State area, is seeking a skilled Night Shift Hood Cleaning Technician to join our team in New York (5 boroughs and Long Island). We are dedicated to fire safety, code compliance, and delivering exceptional service to clients across the restaurant and hospitality industries.
In this role, you will be essential in maintaining the safety and performance of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. Responsibilities include hood cleaning, cutting and welding ducts, installing insulation, performing fan repairs, creating duct openings, installing new ductwork, and completing all required FDNY documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform expert hood cleaning and maintenance in line with industry standards and fire codes.
Work collaboratively to deliver projects on time and ensure client satisfaction.
Keep detailed records of all services, inspections, and repairs.
Follow all job-site safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid W-64 Certificate of Fitness for Hood Cleaning.
Valid 40 hour SST.
Valid and clean driver's license.
Proven experience in hood cleaning, cutting, welding, insulation, and fan repairs
In-depth knowledge of local fire codes and regulations about commercial kitchen exhaust systems.
Familiarity with FDNY filing procedures for duct installations and modifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Night Shift Hours: 8 PM - 4AM. Flexible Hours!
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
