Position Summary:

We are looking for a candidate with good knowledge of planting methodology and different plant species, experience in execution work at the site, the ability to proactively address horticulture-related issues, and assist in the selection of plant species. The role includes managing site activities including routine inspections, reviewing specifications, executing as per defined processes and guidelines, and coordinating with the consultant and design team.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing tender specifications.

Coordination with the design team, site teams, contractor, and client during the execution of the project regarding the submitted drawings and execution.

Proactively taking decisions on-site along with the design team and solving site queries.

Checking the samples procured at the site and reviewing them with the concerned team.

Reviewing and checking tree pits and planters -depth of soil, placement of root ball, etc. (during construction).

Photo documenting the ongoing work at the site.

Soil testing and approval.

Monitoring the soil filling and quality of soil in planters.

Monitoring execution of work according to the tender and irrigation.

Education:

Minimum/ Mandatory: Bachelor's in Horticulture

Preferred: Post-graduation in Floriculture & Landscape Architecture

Experience:

Years: 0 to 6 years

Industry: Horticulture (Landscape projects)

Work Areas: River rejuvenation, lake refurbishment, other small and large-scale projects

Skills (Mandatory):

Adequate knowledge of reading landscape drawings

Adequate knowledge of reading landscape drawings

Experience and practice of working with on-site contractors and site workers

Ability to take immediate on-site actions and make rectifications regarding any horticulture-related issues

Preparation of minutes of meetings

Preparation of any sort of site reports in Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint
