We are currently seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated Hospital Aides to join our team at Nurse Maude Care Home. In this role, you will work alongside a team of skilled healthcare professionals to provide essential support to our residents with their daily needs and ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Position Details:
Location: Nurse Maude Care Home 25 Mansfield Avenue, Merivale
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts when available.
Permanent Night Shifts
Monday – Wednesday 11:00PM – 7:00AM (22.5 hours per week)
Tuesday – Thursday: 11:00PM – 7.00 AM (22.5 hours per week)
Wednesday – Friday: 11:00PM – 7:00AM (22.5 hours per week)
Casual Opportunities
Casual positions are also available for those seeking flexibility.
Requirements:
A valid New Zealand Working Visa.
Covid Vaccine plus 2 boosters
Availability to work one of the listed roster shifts.
Previous experience in a healthcare or similar role preferred but not essential.
Compassionate and patient, with a commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Strong and positive communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively as a team, communicate efficiently, and respect everyone you interact with, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Personal Care Assistance: Support residents with daily personal care needs, including bathing, showering, dressing, undressing, and grooming.
Mobility Support: Assist residents with mobilisations, transfers, and toileting requirements, prioritising safety and independence.
Nutrition and Hydration: Help residents with their food and fluid requirements, ensuring they are well-nourished and hydrated.
Adherence to Protocols: Follow the organisation's policies and protocols to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Eligibility to work in NZ with a current Visa
Reliable transport to and from work
High energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm
Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication
Previous experience as a hospital aide or similar
Great people skills that demonstrate empathy
Flexibility, ability to multitask, and excellent time management.

Hourly Rate: $24.08 - $29.97 per hour based on qualifications.
