VSA was started over 20 years ago with the first privately owned veterinary referral hospital in New Zealand. From that first hospital in Mt Albert, Auckland, we now have 3 world class specialist referral hospitals across the country working to support the wider veterinary community and their patients. The position
Are you a someone who would like to expand your current skill set to include pre and post op care in a specialist veterinary hospital?
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to enhance your veterinary career within a leading-edge team of specialists and nurses. Our purpose-built veterinary hospital in Christchurch, opened in 2021, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to deliver referral care for companion animals across the South Island. As a Hospital Veterinarian, you’ll play an integral role in providing exceptional care for our pre- and post-operative patients, working in close collaboration with our highly qualified nursing and specialist team.
We offer a comprehensive onboarding and training program led by our national in-house team, ensuring you have the support needed to thrive in a dynamic, stimulating environment. You’ll be working alongside a team of specialists on a diverse caseload, with the opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative setting that prioritises your development.

Requirements:
Have 5+ years of clinical experience as a veterinarian
Part time availability - be willing to work 11-6pm, Monday- Wednesday
Have meticulous attention to detail
Be self-motivated
Possess excellent communication skills
Collaborate well in a team environment
