About the Business
Caltex Port Augusta Truck Stop is a busy highway service centre located in Port Augusta, South Australia. The truck stop provides food, beverages, and convenience services to truck drivers, travellers, and local customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Hospitality Worker to join our team and assist in delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
The Hospitality Worker will assist with front-of-house service, food handling, and general customer service duties to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and provide prompt service.
Take food and beverage orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
Serve meals, snacks, and beverages to customers in accordance with service standards.
Assist with preparing simple food items, beverages, and takeaway orders as required.
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and service stations.
Replenish food displays, beverage stations, and service areas as needed.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve minor service issues professionally.
Assist with clearing tables, washing utensils, and maintaining general cleanliness.
Support kitchen staff during busy service periods when required.
Restock supplies and assist with receiving and organising deliveries.
Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient service operations.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Salary
Competitive salary will be offered based on skills and experience.
