We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with us as a bakery counter team member.
ROLE: As a host, you have one of the most important roles in our organization as you are the first point of contact with guests and set the tone for their experience! Your role is to greet every guest and ensure that they feel welcomed, coordinate with other floor member staff to seat guests at the appropriate table and maximize the use of available seating. We expect you to be friendly, warm, and safety-oriented, and, most importantly, to be yourself!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet guests warmly and authentically as they enter the restaurant
Track which tables are available and provide an accurate estimate to guests as to when they will likely be seated.
Reconfigure seating as needed to create a comfortable and accommodating guest experience
Once guests sit down, bring them menus, waters, and make sure there is cutlery on the table
During the meal, refill coffee, tea and waters
Alert servers if there are any issues and be responsive to guest needs
Extend a genuine “thank you” when they are leaving and help them with the door if needed
Ensure that the dining room and guest areas are clean, well-kept, and in good appearance
Maintain a sanitary, tidy, and safe front area
Perform basic cleaning duties around the restaurant
Ensure that all guest areas are in good repair and report any maintenance issues to the maintenance administrator and dining room manager
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand for a majority of a shift 6-10 hours
Must be able to lift 20 lbs
Must be able to move quickly and adapt to a fast-paced workplace
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Must be respectful and inclusive of various cultures
