Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with proven experience in hotel accounting and strong proficiency in M3 software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining precise financial records.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Enter, review, and approve invoices in M3 and other accounting systems.
Monitor cash flow and prepare payment schedules in coordination with finance teams.
Collaborate with hotel departments to validate expenses and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Prepare reports related to payables, outstanding liabilities, and vendor activity.
Assist with audits and maintain compliance with accounting standards and hotel policies.
Support month-end closing activities and general ledger reconciliation related to payables.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Accounts Payable within the hotel industry.
Strong proficiency in M3 software; knowledge of Yardi, QuickBooks, or Xero is a plus.
Understanding of hotel accounting practices, expense management, and vendor reconciliation.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on hotel accounting experience, particularly in accounts payable.
Experience with US accounting standards is a plus.
