Job description
1. Guest Relations ManagementEnsure high levels of guest satisfaction through quality service, cleanliness, and prompt response to queries and complaints.
2. Staff Supervision & SchedulingHire, train, and manage front office, housekeeping, and kitchen staff. Create duty rosters and ensure proper staffing at all times.
3. Room Occupancy ManagementMonitor room bookings, check-ins/outs, and aim to maintain high occupancy rates through local marketing and partnerships.
4. Budgeting & Cost ControlPrepare budgets, monitor expenses, reduce wastage, and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising service quality.
5. Vendor ManagementNegotiate and manage vendors for supplies (linen, toiletries, food, etc.), maintenance, and third-party services.
6. Property MaintenanceEnsure the upkeep of rooms, common areas, electrical/plumbing systems, and all facilities. Schedule regular inspections and repairs.
7. Hygiene & Cleanliness OversightImplement cleanliness standards for rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and lobby, aligning with hospitality norms and local regulations.
8. Front Desk OperationsOversee reservation systems, check-in/check-out processes, and guest inquiries. Maintain accurate records and billing details.
+. Compliance & LicensingEnsure compliance with fire safety, health, GST registration, local laws, FSSAI (if food is served), and hotel licensing.
10. Security & SafetyImplement safety procedures, train staff on emergency protocols, and ensure proper surveillance systems are functional.
11. Inventory ControlManage and track room supplies, kitchen inventory, cleaning materials, and minimize pilferage or overstocking.
12. Sales & Local MarketingPromote the hotel through local advertising, tie-ups with travel agents, online booking platforms, and corporate deals.
13. Customer Feedback & Online ReputationMonitor reviews on Google, TripAdvisor, and OTAs (MakeMyTrip, Booking.com), and take corrective actions based on feedback.
14. Financial ReportingMaintain daily sales and expense logs, generate monthly performance reports, and share updates with owners or directors.
15. Event or Group Booking CoordinationHandle group bookings or events (e.g., family functions, corporate stays), ensuring smooth coordination and service.
