Job Overview
The Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of guest service during overnight hours. This position is responsible for overseeing late-night operations, managing guest interactions, and ensuring the accuracy of daily financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests arriving late and assist with check-in and check-out
Assist guests with questions, special requests, and overnight needs
Handle early morning check-outs with professionalism and care
Answer phone calls and take or modify reservations as needed
Ensure all prepaid reservations are correctly charged, registration cards are printed, and keys are prepared in advance
Complete nightly audit tasks and ensure daily financial records are accurate
Reconcile all guest accounts, ensuring accuracy in transactions, payments, and balances
Prepare and review daily night audit reports for management
Verify all departments have completed end-of-day procedures properly
Schedule wake-up calls and note guest requests for the following day
Maintain a clean, organized front desk and common area during the shift
Monitor hotel premises and follow safety and emergency procedures in case of an emergency
Communicate important overnight updates to the morning team and management
Experience
Previous experience in a front desk or guest services role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
Proficiency in phone etiquette and effective communication skills is essential.
Familiarity with hotel management software and phone systems will be an advantage.
A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests is required.
