We currently have a vacancy for a Hotel Receptionist , to work 2 morning shifts per week (Saturday and Sunday 07.30-14.30) and to cover for staff holidays and sick leave as & when necessary. The position is permanent and has a competitive salary.
We offer 1 week paid training (minimum 35 hours ) before starting date. Last day of training needs to be with the manager where you will be asked to work a full day by yourself under managers supervision to ensure you are ready to start work.
Being a small hotel, we require the applicant to be a responsible person, capable of working without supervision and be able to deal with a wide range of matters including bookings/switchboard/PDQ/computer/emails/handling guests & complaints/ selling rooms/room management programs/ fire alarm, lift & evacuation.
Experience is preferred but we are willing to consider applicants without. A good command of English (oral & written) is essential.
You should have a friendly personality, a professional demeanor, have attention for detail, be organized & methodical, and have an enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards providing excellent customer service.
