About the Role …
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Houseman / Public Area Attendant to join our hotel team in a casual role. This role is vital in supporting both our housekeeping and public area operations to ensure our hotel is presented at its best.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Ordering, receiving, and storing linen and housekeeping supplies
Stocking and maintaining pantries on guest floors
Conducting stock takes and maintaining inventory levels
Minor maintenance tasks
Upholstery and soft furnishing cleaning
General rubbish removal and waste management
Putting away incoming deliveries and supplies
Preparing bedding and amenities for incoming bookings
Assisting with public area cleaning, including reception, lobby, public bathrooms, and high touch point sanitation
Providing ad-hoc support to the housekeeping and maintenance teams as required
What we're looking for:
Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable in a physically active role and capable of lifting and moving items
A proactive and helpful approach to supporting multiple departments
Prior experience in a similar hotel or housekeeping role is desirable but not essential
