Responsibilities
The Porter is responsible for supporting the residents' care and services through ensuring that their overall home is clean and tidy
These individuals value the importance of a clean community that makes for a happy environment for residents, visitors, families, and associates
They also understand that their work prevents infection and disease, which is particularly important with residents who are frail and illness prone
The position of Housekeeper II is to maintain all community floors (carpet and various surfaces) insanitary, clean, safe, and attractive conditions
Responsibilities for a Porter: Floor care
Dust/clean furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and disinfect equipment including all hallways and all sitting areas
Empties and cleans waste receptacles daily
Cleans and maintains supplies in the restrooms
Moves and arranges furniture, special program set up and equipment as needed
May assist in unloading delivery trucks/monitoring back door during deliveries
Appropriate use of cleaning products
Perform floor care on all surfaces
Operate scrubber/Burnisher/Extractor and various housekeeping equipment
Strip and finish floors

Housekeeper - Porter Full Time 2PM-10PM including Every Other Weekend Pay rate up to $17.30/hour; based on experience United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Porter for Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is a thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained 75-acre campus providing exceptional options for senior care living. The Porter is responsible for supporting the residents' care and services through ensuring that their overall home is clean and tidy. These individuals value the importance of a clean community that makes for a happy environment for residents, visitors, families, and associates. They also understand that their work prevents infection and disease, which is particularly important with residents who are frail and illness prone. The position of Housekeeper II is to maintain all community floors (carpet and various surfaces) insanitary, clean, safe, and attractive conditions. Requirements for a Porter: High School diploma or equivalency Some experience in a custodial/ janitorial position preferred. Responsibilities for a Porter: Floor care.
