Job Summary
The Manor at Sway is looking for a housekeeper to work an average of 15 hours per week.
The hotel and restaurant was taken over and refurbished 11 years ago and its reputation has grown since then. The Manor was included in the Top Ten New Forest Hotels by the Telegraph, Thirty best country hotels in The Times and 40 of the best hotels and Inns in the Guardian. The interiors were designed by Bentheim London. There are 15 bedrooms, a 40 seat restaurant and 4 acres of gardens. Located in the village of Sway we are a few miles from Lymington and the Hampshire coast, while having the New Forest on our doorstep.
The restaurant and bar currently serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner each day. The hotel also caters for small functions and exclusive hires, including wedding receptions, anniversary, birthday and christening celebrations, among other things. We join in with local events also from time to time.
Job Type / Category
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detailed orientated person to join our housekeeping staff. Duties include preparing guest rooms for arrivals, servicing stay over rooms. Preparing public areas. Hours are somewhat flexible around school hours and would normally be from around +:00 to 15:00 dependent on occupancy levels. Weekends a must and done on rotation with the staff.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Ideally someone with experience of cleaning in a hotel or restaurant environment. However a willingness to learn will help also.
