Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for guests and staff in a hotel, resort, or other facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. Female candidates are preferred for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established standards and procedures.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock bathroom amenities.
- Dust and polish furniture, vacuum carpets, and clean windows.
- Ensure all areas are properly sanitized to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and remote controls.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
- Monitor and report any shortages in cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and maintain storage areas in a neat and organized manner.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
- Provide information and assistance to guests when needed.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Follow all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
