Must be able to communicate on the phone to housekeeping department
Must be able to communicate verbally to employees, managers and guests
Must be able to read assignment sheets and directions when handling cleaning solutions or chemicals

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities: Clean, polish, buff, strip and maintain floors to achieve optimum appearance and proper floor film protection
Insure that established hotel standard operating procedures are followed
Must be able to use all hand and power cleaning equipment properly, following safety procedures
Follow proper handling and use of cleaning detergents, solutions and cleansers
Report any damaged tiles or flooring in need to repair
Sweep, dust and mop floors and remove debris
Clean and polish floors using proper detergents, solutions and cleansers
Operate hand and power cleaning equipment, following safety procedures
Follow manufacturer's instructions for proper usage of cleaning and polishing solutions and detergents
Follow procedures in cleaning and maintaining floors to prevent any damage
Place appropriate signs and barricades to prevent entering an area being cleaned or if floor is wet
Properly clean and store equipment
Report any damaged tile or flooring in needing repair or replacement
Keep a log of floor maintenance schedule
Responsible for the control of hotel issued keys at all times
Must be able to move heavy furniture, rugs and cleaning equipment
Perform duties following safety procedures and standards
Assist in special projects
Complete work assignments in a timely manner
Perform duties of a House Attendant as needed
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Assist other positions in the department
Advise manager of the need for ordering cleaning supplies
Work indoors in guest rooms, offices, restaurants, etc. with or without air-conditioning
Outdoor cleaning lanais, public areas, and corridors, etc
Housekeeping cart to transport linen and supplies to room attendants
Able to clean hotel floors and facilities according to standards and in the allotted time
Able to push/pull a fully supplied housekeeping cart weighing over 50 lbs
Able to kneel, bend, stoop, and reach above/below shoulder level to clean

Housekeeper I
