Job Description
Supervision and Leadership:Manage and lead a team of housekeeping staff, including housekeepers, janitors, and laundry personnel.
Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure staff members perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
Create work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain high cleaning standards.
Inventory Management:Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate stock at all times.
Monitor and control expenses related to housekeeping supplies and labor costs.
Cleaning Standards:Establish and enforce cleaning standards and procedures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the facility.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with these standards.
Address and resolve any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly.
Budget Management:Develop and manage the department's budget, making sure it aligns with the overall financial goals of the organization.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
Guest Satisfaction:Focus on maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction by providing a clean and comfortable environment.
Handle guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping and resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
Quality Control:Implement quality control measures to assess the cleanliness and maintenance of rooms and public areas.
Set up systems for room inspections and follow-up on any necessary improvements.
Environmental and Safety Compliance:Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations in the handling of cleaning chemicals and waste disposal.
Promote a safe and healthy working environment for the housekeeping staff.
Staff Development:Foster professional growth and development among team members through training and performance evaluations.
Conduct regular meetings and provide feedback to promote teamwork and morale.
Reporting:Prepare regular reports and updates for upper management on the department's performance, challenges, and achievements.
Keep records of maintenance and repair requests.
Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, front desk, and facilities management, to address cross-functional issues and ensure a smooth operation.
