Job Description
Supervise housekeeping staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to ensure a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
Manage inventory and ordering of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services.
Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure guest needs are met.
Monitor and maintain housekeeping budget and expenses.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement training programs for housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.
Conduct regular performance evaluations for housekeeping staff and provide feedback and coaching for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including cleaning schedules and maintenance requests.
Attend meetings and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Ensure all staff are adhering to the hotel's policies and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of staff accommodations to ensure cleanliness, hygiene and orderliness.
Work closely with the human resources department to handle housekeeping staff recruitment and selection.
Develop and implement a work schedule and break schedule for housekeeping staff to ensure efficient use of resources.
Communicate with guests, staff, and management in a courteous and professional manner.
Ensure the proper handling and storage of all cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure all housekeeping equipment is in good working condition.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce housekeeping costs without compromising on quality of services.
