About the Job
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs. The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees.
Duties
Perform routine custodial duties to maintain a clean, safe environment. Responsibilities include vacuuming rugs and draperies; shampoos rugs and upholsters; sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using light to heavy industrial equipment. Clean showers, sauna and steam room. Clean glass partitions, inside and outside windows, walls and ceiling fixtures using ladders and scaffolds.
Requirements
Successful completion of National Agency Background Check required. Physical exertion is involved in standing and walking for long periods, some bending, stooping and lifting is required. Must have ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
