Housekeeping Supervisor

Overview: As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. You will ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld to provide a comfortable and pleasant environment for guests/clients and employees. Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, cleaners, and laundry personnel. • Schedule and assign duties to housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operation and coverage. • Train new employees on housekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of cleaning equipment and materials. • Inspect rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established standards. • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed. • Handle guest/client requests and complaints promptly and professionally. • Monitor and adhere to budgetary guidelines, including labor and supplies expenses. • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff. • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to coordinate activities and address issues. • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to housekeeping. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry. • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safety regulations. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in hospitality management is a plus.
