Job Description
A housekeeping supervisor manages a cleaning crew and ensures that rooms and common areas are clean and maintained to high standards. Their responsibilities include:
Training: Teaching housekeepers cleaning and maintenance tasks, and educating staff on cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards
Scheduling: Assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and arranging for replacements when staff are absent
Monitoring: Overseeing staff on a daily basis, checking rooms and common areas for cleanliness, and conducting quality control checks
Maintaining: Managing inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, and room essentials, and ordering cleaning products
Responding: Responding to customer complaints and special requests in a timely and professional manner
Motivating: Motivating team members and providing feedback and coaching as needed
Resolving: Resolving any issues that occur on the job
Participating: Participating in large cleaning projects as required
