Your day-to-day
• Ensure smooth running of the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Accommodation Manager/Head Housekeeper.
• Supervise the activities of all team members ensuring that they are aware of their responsibilities and are performing all duties to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner by every team member.
• Assist with the preparation of weekly rotas and ensure a balance of duties within the team.
• Coordinate individual and group arrivals and departures.
• Daily monitoring of rooms by conducting and documenting inspections of assigned rooms.
• Check the status of all rooms (i.e., out of order, VIPs etc) and communicate with appropriate personnel on a daily basis.
• Agree on objectives for self-development in line with the departments & hotel’s objectives.
• Working & cooperating with colleagues to enhance the guests' experience at all times.
• Stock control.
• The supervision of the team to maintain standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain a visible presence on your allocated floors including public areas to ensure all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively.
• Continually develop new knowledge and skills to ensure best-practice service delivery.
Accountabilities
This position is part of the Property Management team and is directly accountable to the Accommodation Manager/Head Housekeeper and General Manager. You are responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day operation of the hotel’s housekeeping department.

• Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping supervisory position
• Good presentation and appearance.
