• Functional Skills Required:
- Ensure that cleaning schedules are not compromised.
- Create schedules for housekeeping staff.
- Make sure that the appearance of the hospital is clean and tidy.
- Monitor availability of resources in adequate numbers.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of required material and equipment.
- Strict control over incidents and complaints.
- Implementation of Policies and Procedures of the hospital.
- Participation in mock drills.
- Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
- Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency of staff shortage.
- Preparing laundry and cleaning register.
