Responsibilities
The Houseperson at the Hampton Inn Troy is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team as needed, as well as cleaning and maintaining other areas of the hotel including public spaces and back of the house areas
Follow assigned tasks for the day as assigned by the management team
Clean and maintain the guest hallways, stairwells, service areas and ice rooms
Collect trash and soiled linen from the housekeepers and deliver to laundry room
Deliver and retrieve guest requests as needed in a timely manner
Monitor placement and condition of public space furniture, report issues to management
Restock guest floor linen closets and guest amenities
Assist the housekeepers in stripping linen and trash from guest rooms as needed
Replenish amenities and supplies in assigned guestrooms
Stock and maintain housekeeping cart
Treat guests and team members in a pleasant, professional, and friendly manner
Be knowledgeable about the hotel and amenities offered
Ability to follow a checklist
Store and retrieve luggage or packages for guests in storage areas, as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
