In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in helping individuals and families maintain their housing and build a stable foundation to thrive within their communities.
Mission Australia Housing provides social and affordable housing to vulnerable Australians ensuring they have access to good quality housing that enables people to participate in their communities. This is a customer‑facing position, so you’ll need to bring strong communication skills, a high level of resilience, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. Every day will be different, and you’ll be part of a supportive environment where your contribution directly improves the lives of others.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Conducting all the arrangements to lease vacant properties quickly and effectively
Work with tenants to assist and support them in maintaining their tenancies
Carry out property inspections and complete the required property reports
Prepare court/tribunal documents where necessary
Ensure tenancy and property records are kept up to date and information recorded meets the organisations and Regulatory standards
Maintain a strong KPI focus across a variety of performance areas
Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders
Actively contribute to developing and implementing strategies that connect tenants to additional support
Requirements for Success
Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client groups with strong people skills
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act would be preferred
Previous experience working in the housing or social welfare sector would be preferred
Strong experience with Microsoft Office products for reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong administrative experience and interpersonal skills
Current Drivers’ Licence and valid WWCC
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks, and WWCC.
