Job Description
We are seeking a skilled HPC Admin to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing high-performance computing environments, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining system integrity. This role requires a strong background in systems engineering and administration, as well as experience with cloud technologies and various operating systems.
Responsibilities
• Manage and optimize high-performance computing (HPC) clusters to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
• Implement load balancing strategies to enhance system performance and resource utilization.
• Administer UNIX-based systems, ensuring security and reliability across all platforms.
• Utilize AWS services for cloud-based solutions, including deployment and management of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system architecture tailored to project needs.
• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of HPC systems.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks using languages such as Java.
• Monitor system performance metrics and conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Experience
• Proven experience in systems engineering and administration within an HPC environment.
• Strong knowledge of load balancing techniques and practices.
• Proficiency in UNIX operating systems; experience with VMWare is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud computing principles.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
• Experience with system architecture design and implementation is highly desirable.
