Job Description:

We are HEYTEA which is a fast-growing tea shop with multiple stores across the UK. We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on HR Assistant to support our head office team based in Manchester city centre. This is a key role that covers recruitment, employee relations, and payroll coordination, with occasional travel to stores — so a valid driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for store-level and managerial roles

Coordinate offboarding and HR compliance documentation

Assist in preparing and processing payroll data

Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy across systems

Provide first-line support for employee relations matters

Help standardise HR processes across different locations

Visit stores when necessary to support in-person HR matters

Communicate effectively across departments and store teams

Requirements:

Experience in HR, people operations, or similar role

Familiar with UK HR processes and basic employment law

Proficient in using or assisting with payroll software (e.g. BrightPay, Xero)

Fluent in Mandarin (preferred) and English

Strong communication and organisational skills

Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between store locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
