We are seeking a HR Business Partner to support our Offshore & Remote (ESS) portfolio across the West Coast. ESS delivers critical support services to Australia’s resources sector, operating in complex, remote, and offshore environments.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, People and Culture, the HR Business Partner is a trusted advisor to operational leaders, providing strategic people partnership aligned to business outcomes.

This role focuses on workforce strategy, leadership capability, people risk, and organisational effectiveness across geographically dispersed operations.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to translate business plans into workforce, capability, and culture strategies.
Provide trusted advice on performance, workforce sustainability, leadership effectiveness, and change.
Lead strategic workforce planning, identifying capability gaps, critical roles, and succession risks using data‑led insights.
Coach leaders on performance management, engagement, accountability, and quality leadership behaviours.
Provide senior‑level advisory support on complex employee relations and people risk matters.
Lead the people impact lens for mobilisations, restructures, site changes, and operating model shifts.
Use HR systems and dashboards to translate data into clear, commercial insights and recommendations.
Reinforce effective use of self‑service and shared services, ensuring consistent and scalable people practices.

About You

You are an experienced, commercially astute HR professional who thrives in operational environments.

You will bring:

Proven experience as a Senior HR Business Partner in complex or industrial settings.
Strong capability in workforce planning, leadership coaching, and people risk management.
Confidence influencing senior leaders and navigating complexity with pragmatism and sound judgement.
Solid understanding of industrial relations frameworks, ideally within resources or remote operations.
A hands‑on partnering style, with willingness to travel to remote and offshore sites as required.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.

Working in an environment with lean management structures and processes, where HR is a highly valued team member, you will have the ability to have a broad remit and be influential across the business.
