HR Coordinator
The Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science is an eminent WA not-for-profit medical research institute located on the QEII Medical Centre campus, Nedlands. We undertake cutting edge research on a wide range of neurological disorders and conduct specialist treatment clinics. About the Role
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator is responsible for providing HR services to support the Perron Institute, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The purpose of the role is to be the reference point for HR queries, providing end to end recruitment, completing onboarding and offboarding, and supporting other HR functions and processes.
This role is offered on a part time or full time basis (0.8-1.0 FTE) on an initial 12 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
Reference point for HR queries for managers and employees.
End to end employment related administration, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
Drafting and updating position descriptions
Undertake recruitment including advertising positions, screening candidates, liaison with interview panel, coordinating interviews, undertaking pre-employment checks
Ensure that new employee onboarding is effectively implemented
Support processes such as performance management and probation reviews
Development of HR related policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and training material
Facilitation of information sessions as required
Undertake other HR projects and activities as required
About You
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
Tertiary or Post Graduate qualifications in Human Resources, or equivalent experience
Previous experience in end-to-end recruitment
Sound knowledge of contemporary HR procedures and processes
High level of attention to detail
Highly developed organisation and communication skills
Good IT skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to operate independently with a high level of initiative
It is desirable to have experience administering a HRIS, and with remuneration benchmarking and award interpretation.
